Hi,
any plans to add the wine review into your webpage? Same way as the restaurant review?
You seem to have the structure in place. And wine DB should be available from Alko.
Fonctionalities: label picture
recognition, 2D bar code, grape, country, name.
Evaluation (flavour/taste/price), food combination
Consumption statistics (personal, personal network, country)
Peer comparaison, peer suggestion,…

You coukd add the Helsinki Sanomat weekly wine winners and compare them to consumer evaluation.
This would create more traffic on your site and enable more add revenu.
eat.fi would become the Friday afternoon compulsary wine shopping site.

Some of these fonctionalites might have been developed by a company called Fjord based in Helsinki.

Positiiviset arvostelut ovat kieltämättä olleet jopa yllättävän yleisiä eat.fi:ssä ja hyvä niin. Hinnasta purnaamisenkin ymmärtää hyvin, Suomessa syöminen on varsin arvokasta verrattuna moneen muuhun maahan.

We don’t delete your account if the place used to sell brunch etc. We delete your account if you’re abusing this feature. It tends to be pretty obvious.

You need six registered accounts to vote a review away IF no one else votes it up again, in which case you need even more registered accounts. You could of course do this all at once, but we see when people log in and watch how new accounts behave. Do you think the limit should be higher?

What if a place used to serve brunch or lunch, but doesn’t anymore and I’ve already used my three reviews? Will be account be deleted?

“If a rating gets voted down beyond -5, it disappears.”

So if I’m a restaurant owner, I just need four friends or co-workers or investors or IP addresses or fake accounts to get rid of a bad review? Or the same if I’m a grumpy customer who wants to get rid of good reviews? Shouldn’t be too hard.

I’m pleased to report that this feature exists already! Above the map, in the “Minimum rating” filter menu, you can choose what type of rating you want to sort the restaurants by: Best food, best experience, etc.

Could we have an option to order restaurants only by food grades? I don’t really care for the service etc if the food is five stars. It’s currently quite difficult to find the kind of restaurants that I like.
